Quotes from the software developer Trevor Chan.
"Due to its story-based campaign and combo-based action, we figured that multiplayer will not add significantly to the game. Therefore, we decided to focus on crafting a great single-player gaming experience for Jeanne d'Arc."

"We wanted the game to feel as chaotic and challenging as actual medieval warfare was. Having the player tackle all military aspects of the medieval battlefront, from making large-scale strategic decisions that can directly affect the outcome of a battle, to the actual fighting abilities of the player affecting the troop morale, will help create this hectic and frantic atmosphere."

"Jeanne starts out with a limited range of combos and her warrior skills are low. Jeanne can acquire increasingly damaging combos through gaining experience points."
